A confused mind always says no

The life-changing "rule of one"

There’s a saying in marketing: A confused mind always says no.

When you give your audience too many options, too many messages, or too much to process, they’ll feel overwhelmed and walk away. That’s why simplicity is so powerful.

If you look back at all these emails you can find a straight line—everything has 1 big idea I’m trying to convey.

Because if I tried to do more, it wouldn’t stick.

As people continue being dumbed down & turned into comfort-seekers, simplicity and clarity will continue getting more important in not just business. But life in general.

In this new world of 2025 & beyond, there’s a rule you can follow to remove confusion and ensure clarity.

☝🏽 The Rule Of One

This rule is about focusing your communication so your audience knows exactly what to do.

> One ideal customer
> One clear offer
> One message
> One call to action
> One path to conversion

If you give your audience too many options—they will choose none.

That’s why the saying “A confused mind always says no” is a strong, true statement in the world of marketing.

My old company offered different products and services for people to purchase.

But it wasn’t until we removed everything and doubled down on 1 offer, that we started killing it—we made more sales, higher conversions, and better calls.

Everything was clear for the customers.

They knew what to do, and less qualified people left our funnel because they didn’t know the next step.

👞 Today’s Action Step:

Take a look at your marketing & communications and look to refine every step of the process. Make it easy for the customer to go through.

Make it really easy, break everything down. For example 👇🏽

After you’ve filled in your email and pressed the orange button, you will be brought to a new page saying “Thank you.” From there, you get the opportunity to book a free consultation call to help you get started on your journey.
