đź’ł It's Payday!

You conclude: This is not enough to live the life I want?!

After a month of waiting, and selling 120-160 hours of your life (4x 30-40 hour workweeks), the time finally arrives!

You receive your salary!

Peeking at your phone you conclude: This is not enough to live the life I want?!

…Ouch!

But there’s a solution! Starting a business.

You may believe that selling stuff is not for you, but what if I told you that you’re already selling things—making you an entrepreneur?

🧑🏽‍💼 You’re Already An Entrepreneur

Everyone is made to be an entrepreneur, and in some way, everyone already is.

See, when you apply for a job, you’re basically closing a deal.

You get the lead by applying, and if they’re interested, they reach out to you. Then you have an interview where you’re selling yourself and the value you will bring to their company.

And you agree to get paid for what? How many hours you work (input).

So you’re already selling something—your time!

But there’s a significant difference between selling your time as an employee and selling products/services as a business:

In a job: You get paid for the hours you sell to your employer (input).
In business: You get paid for the problem you solve (output).

You get paydays in both your job & business, but what if you want to earn more money than you already are?

In a job, you can:
A) Work more hours
B) Ask for a raise

Which is unscalable… because time is limited. Usually, you can’t work a lot more hours than you already are.

But on the other hand—there’s also a cap on how much a company is willing to pay you.

So your income is capped.

But when you’re independent, it’s different!

In a business, you can:
A) Raise your prices
B) Sell more units

Which may seem difficult at first, but once you get a hang of it, it could scale like crazy.

If you want to raise your prices, you also want to raise the value you bring. And if you want to sell more units, you can take yourself out and get others to do the marketing, delivery, and operations for you.

👞 Today’s Action Step:

Decide if you’re complacent with the income you’re currently generating. If you are—great, don’t change it if you don’t want to!

But if you aren’t—do something about it. Ask for a raise/to work more, or start/elevate your business.
