Investor, creator and best-selling author, Alex Hormozi used to be the leader of a fraternity group in college.

He told a story about how he reset the standards of 25+ frat guys on a podcast & I just needed to share it with you. Here it goes:

We’d throw a HUGE party to welcome the new class of brothers to our frat house.

You’d go from partying with girls, feeling on top of the world, with brothers handing you drinks... to the next day when reality hits.

They would wake up hungover with their ties crooked and vomit in the corner, whatever.

And we were like: Great, now clean it up!

- Up to this point, they never had to clean up after a party. Because all they did was party, see the girls, and then leave.

But suddenly, they found themselves cleaning up the mess while still hungover, feeling terrible. “What the f*ck, this isn’t what I signed up for.”

Anyway, two weeks of this passed and they got together and wanted me to meet them...

So it’s just me and my vice-president—and like 25 other guys.

I sat down and asked them a couple of questions. I was like “Who here, before pledging started, wanted to be a part of this house?”

The guys were like “Yeah, me” okay.

"Afterwards, I asked, 'Who here thought it would be hard?' and they all raised their hands."

So I was like Guys… this is just what hard feels like.

Now, I want you to think about this for yourself.

Did you think starting in business was going to be easy? No, right? Especially since you already have another full-time occupation.

When you want to grow, you can expect growing pains.

You knew it wasn’t going to be easy.

…This is just what hard feels like.

Those were your expectations, and the season you’re going through now is just your experience matching your expectations.

You are permitted to feel shitty. Because it is!

Just keep pushing through because you know you won’t regret it.
